Mommy's Socks
My lovely sister Lindi got me these nice socks that go with some fuzzy pjs, but every time I try to wear the socks, Myra takes them off my feet and gets daddy to put them on her. She then comes and pets my fuzzy pjs then pets the socks.
I Love My Babies
Out of everything Myra got for Christmas, the babies are her favorite. She carries those babies with her everywhere she goes. When she smells the tree, she has the babies smell the tree. When she needs to blow her nose, she wipes the babies noses. She kisses them goodnight and wraps them in her favorite blanket. The minute she opened up those babies she was finished opening up presents.

"Want me to take your mind off that pain"
Yesterday was an adventurous day. As I was unloading the dishwasher, I opened up a cupboard and all the pots and pans fell on my big Toe. As I was yelping in pain, Mason came out to comfort me. Right behind him, Myra comes in and the minute she sees me, she stops and screams at the top of her lungs. I turned to see what she had done, but she was fine. It made me think of Major Payne, because she took my mind off my toe as it turned purple and blue. As she screamed she came running to me and patted me on the back, It was so adorable.
Next thing wasn't so adorable...I was reading and taking notes for one of my classes when Myra comes in to show me what she found. I take a minute to look up, then I scream. She had reached down her pants and pulled out some tootsie rolls, except they weren't really tootsie rolls. Luckily she decided to show me what she found instead of smearing it all over the place.

Crazy crazy crazy
So as you can tell, by the couple of months of me slacking on my blog, I have been busy. School has taken me by the sleeve and dragged me along every road you can think of. Last week, I had 3 tests and 5 papers, which I passed all with a B or higher. I must be doing something right. I made a deal with myself after conference to try to improve myself in thing every week, whether it is through spending time with my family or reading the scriptures. I really felt inspired by President Monson's talk of gratitude.
Right after General Conference, Mason and Myra went to Montana to plant some flowers. Mason also wanted to build Myra a little desk to draw and color on (color on paper of course, hopefully). On the way over there, he had some car problems. When he put it in drive the engine would just rev up. So he and Myra had to wait around on the side of the road for 2 hours for a truck to get them. They didn't get home until 10:00 or actually 11:00 mountain standard time. Found out that it had to do something with the transmission. Good thing everything is under coverage. What a blessing! I don't think we would have been able to afford a $5000 transmission and another $300 for the labor. But the only downside is Mason has been gone for 1 1/2 weeks. They haven't got the parts in for the car yet. Again, luckily it isn't Summer, because I would be going crazy without him. I have been keeping myself busy with school, especially with papers and tests. Maybe this is a good thing to keep him away so I can study and get better grades on my school work, not saying that they are a distraction. :)
Life is full of surprises and the one thing that I have learned is to find something positive about those surprises.

"Feasting upon the Words of Christ"
At dinner time, I usually leave Myra on the floor and eat with Mason, so we can have a meal together. Last night Myra found my bag, pulled out my scriptures and went away at it. After I finished dinner I turned to see what Myra was doing because she usually is whining but was very quiet that night. When I saw pieces of my scriptures all over the floor I didn't know how to react. I knew I should stop her but I wanted to get a picture of it first. She had ripped out most of Alma and some Mosiah. When we said "feast upon the words of Christ" we didn't mean it literally.

Myra started crawling at 7 1/2 months. Here are some of her first steps. She's getting much better now, the only downturn is she get's into everything. I used to read my sociology and accounting homework to her on the floor, but she crawls and climbs over me anywhere I go to eat to my books. But we love her anyway!!!
