Portland Get Away

Spring break has come and gone, But we were able to get away for a couple of days. We were planning on leaving Tuesday the 15th, but had to stay until Thursday the 17th, for another doctors appointment. I swear we go to the doctors office on every holiday you can think of. We were there well 2 days after Christmas, Valentines day, and now St. Patrick's day. We should just plan on going in on April fools day ;).

It was nice to get away and take a break from everything. We went to Portland with our friends Miguel, Jeri, and Audri. We saw the Falls, Japanese garden, the Chinese garden,k and of course the Zoo. Gardens are so calming and peaceful. When we went to the Japanese garden we left Myra and Audri with Miguel's parents so it was really nice ;) We took Myra with us to the Chinese garden. She did pretty good. There was one duck in the water and that made her day.

The zoo, of course, was the best part. Myra skipped her nap for it, but she was okay with it. She is such a social bug. She kept trying to tell the kids around her what they were looking at. "see bear...cat...bird" It was cute! The zoo was so full that we had to take the shuttle bus in. Myra was asleep for the ride in, but woke right up as we started walking around the zoo. On the way back she was awake and realized how cool it was to not wear a seatbelt. She was standing on the seat and looking out the windows. Overall we had a fun trip. Thanks Jeri and Miguel for inviting us!!!

As the due date get's closer I feel more tired. I can't even make it through the day without taking a nap, which sucks especially for my school work. These pictures are a little random. I have been slacking on taking pictures. I have even noticed that I haven't taken any prego pics. hahaha! I better get on top of that for the next post.

Myra was really enthusiastic about this ;) she was actually playing peek-a-boo right after this.

Myra has been talking a little more. We figured out that when she says "Bye" she is actually saying "I love you". This is because when we say goodbye we say "Bye, I love you!" So randomly and repeatedly Myra yells "Momma, Momma" and she has to get a respond. "Yes" "Bye" 2 seconds later..."momma momma...Bye" Its pretty cute but after a while it gets tiring.
Another thing Myra has started to do is when she wakes up she puts on her boots with no socks on ;) So her feet always stink! She wears them all day in case we go outside.

Snow and School

SO talk about a lot of snow today. It started snowing yesterday and continued this morning. Snow just makes me want to curl up in a a hot tub and go to sleep. But time keeps clicking and we can only do that for so long.

This morning I went to my morning class only to find out that it was cancelled. Which was kinda nice, that way I would have time to work on my paper that is due Thursday. My paper is on the country Azerbaijan...such a cool word to say once you know how to pronounce it. As I was researching it made me want to travel and see the world and other cultures because the only place it seems I've been my whole live is good ol' Washington. That is kinda sad come to think of it...

Myra was so cute when I saw her. She was dead asleep in her car seat and was even drooling a little bit. When we picked her up to bring her in the house she started mumbling something. Who knows what. We might have a sleep talker in the family. :)
See gets me more excited to have the baby everyday. She comes up to me and rubs my belly and says "baby?" Then she kisses my belly and runs off to play with her dolls. With the baby moving around and being able to feel every little movement, Myra has been able to feel a couple of those big kicks. One time as she was rubbing my belly, she felt a kick and she threw her arm in the air and looked at me like "what just happened"? Her facial expressions are so classic.

Well that is the end of today, I just needed to get a break from typing in demographic stuff.
