Recently I had the ganglion cyst removed from my wrist. This is before surgery. Take a close look at the bump because it is one of the biggest cysts the surgeon had seen.

Wow - I have a bump like that, but it changes size. Sometimes it has been bigger than yours. Sometimes you can't see it. I used to chase my kids with it. I popped it a couple of times but then it started aching a lot when the fluid would spread out over the back of my hand (under the skin.) This year it has remained small and painless.

I used to have this situation in both wrists where I could not move my wrists at all without extreme pain. One day I tripped and landed on my left hand. There was a flash of pain and then the pain was all gone. I figured I popped a sac or something. So I took my right hand and jammed it into the floor, expecting the same result. Nope. Just a huge screaming pain and a wish I had never been born.

Hope this surgery is a permanent fix.

  2. Tasha you wimp. I get those all the time. They go away eventually. You are going to just keep getting them too. It has something to do with your genetics it is just your body's misplacement of fluid. I am glad you got some relief from it though.
