So as you can tell, by the couple of months of me slacking on my blog, I have been busy. School has taken me by the sleeve and dragged me along every road you can think of. Last week, I had 3 tests and 5 papers, which I passed all with a B or higher. I must be doing something right. I made a deal with myself after conference to try to improve myself in thing every week, whether it is through spending time with my family or reading the scriptures. I really felt inspired by President Monson's talk of gratitude.
Right after General Conference, Mason and Myra went to Montana to plant some flowers. Mason also wanted to build Myra a little desk to draw and color on (color on paper of course, hopefully). On the way over there, he had some car problems. When he put it in drive the engine would just rev up. So he and Myra had to wait around on the side of the road for 2 hours for a truck to get them. They didn't get home until 10:00 or actually 11:00 mountain standard time. Found out that it had to do something with the transmission. Good thing everything is under coverage. What a blessing! I don't think we would have been able to afford a $5000 transmission and another $300 for the labor. But the only downside is Mason has been gone for 1 1/2 weeks. They haven't got the parts in for the car yet. Again, luckily it isn't Summer, because I would be going crazy without him. I have been keeping myself busy with school, especially with papers and tests. Maybe this is a good thing to keep him away so I can study and get better grades on my school work, not saying that they are a distraction. :)
Life is full of surprises and the one thing that I have learned is to find something positive about those surprises.
